I am starting this next year. At the beginning of the year, I will takes a picture of each student. She makes a graph (we have choices for lunch, but if you don't, you could use Brought lunch and Buying lunch, or something like that). Each child's picture has velcro and as they come in, they move their picture up on the graph to show which lunch they want. If they aren't on brought or buying, then they aren't there! I am going to print off pictures of each item we have for lunch (just the main course) as well as a lunchbox, instead of using words, so that it will be easier for Kindergarteners. I hope this helps!
