Reading takes a different meaning

Not all Kindergarteners come in at the same developmental level and with the same skills and not all will go out the same. Language development, alphabetic principle, and concepts of print, phonemic awareness are the most important skils to concentrate on. Some students will be reading; other may not but will have made a great deal of progress.
