The one piece of advice that I would like to share is to spend some time teaching your kids exactly what you expect from them. For instance, in the Guided Reading block, you'll need to model for them how to partner read. In Self-Selected Reading, you'll need to model how to find an appropriate book and then, if you do book talks or sharing, then model what a good book talk looks like. Just take your time and model everything! Do you have Month By Month Phonics for Third Grade? I think that would be important to have, too! Patti/4th
