4 blocks schedule
By Siri

Clip to ScrapBook
I am finishing up my 14th year teaching first, and using the 4 blocks time-frame allows students to "do it all, every day!"
8:00-8:30 calendar/lunch count/# talks
8:30-9:00 morning message, word wall chant, vocab./spelling activities (on the carpet)
9:00-9:30 guided reading (whole class basal work)
9:30-10:30 small group w/leveled readers (rotation: 20 min. w/teacher; 20 min. seatwork; 20 min. learning station). I have three groups, and meet w/each group every day. It makes a HUGE difference in reading fluency. I promise!
10:30-11:15 writer's workshop.......LUNCH!
