Sounds like my teaching partner...

This sounds exactly like the other 3rd grade teacher at my school! When we go on field trips I am usually the one keeping her kids in line. When I ask her about it, she says that is why we have chaperones. She doesn't
care about the kids and just tries to get through. It is very sad that there are teachers like this when many good teachers can't even get a job!
I don't think it is reasonable to ask students to walk a child who has just wet his/her pants to the office. That would be very embarrassing for the child, especially considering the age. I think it was right for the teacher to walk the

child inside to avoid embarrassing him/her. I also don't think it would have been good for the other teacher to leave the group of kids when the boy wandered away, but instead of sending students to find the wandering kid, she should have sent them to get help from another adult.
