I guess we are at the opposite end...

At my school, kids get 15 min in the morning & afternoon. They also have a 30 min recess after lunch. Lunch lasts for about 30 min. They also have separate P.E. for about 2 hours per week. They are allowed snack while they work. I really think that kids need to have the time to run around and play. Recess is also good for teachers. I need those prep periods I get. I probably get a lot compared to a lot of teachers. They help me to be organized & refreshed. It also makes for a lot less time after school. On average, I get about two and a half hours worth of prep periods daily. I think I teach at a great school!
