Hi All!

I went to the job fair on Friday the 13th...hmmm.
Anyway, it started with a huge car crash blocking the only road that I knew of to get there and being diverted only to arrive later than I had hoped to and having
to stand at the back of a HUGE line to go in, instead of being one of the first as I had planned.
On trying to fill in the appointment sheet I went to one school that I had already had one interview at and didn;t imprees enough but had decided I had to explain more clearly how my first reference was the one that should be looked at.
The next school that I have subbed at a lot

involved a huge team of staff and the principal being the one to look at all the resumes. Mine was taken looked at and put in a pile. Others were placed on top ...meanwhile I have no interview appointment scheduled so I waited...and waited....and waited. Finally the principal said ...you resigned from your last school?
...I said yes ....but...and yep you guessed it she just threw my rresume in my face and said take it I wont be looking at it. Meanwhile all the schedules for jobs had been taken. After months of counselling this awful woman had just destroyed my confidence and taken me down to the gutter level again.
I had no interviews scheduled and my only hope was to book something with the district in the hope that if any jobs were left over I may get slotted in to one.
I was so upset anf ended up crying on my interviwers shoulder ...who I have to say was amazing ...she told me that it was so rude of that principal ( a school that I am being asked to come back to all the time as a sub).
She boosted my ego and made me go back out and give my resume to everyone and expllain the excellent and the poor and say I have no reason why the poor one was given.
Yep you guessed it I was offered a job in a school that I have also subbed at a lot with a principal from heaven.
I interviewed with one of the teachers who told me if I had subbed successfully in 3 different classes she knew to be tough then my management problems were non existant and is she could hire me she would ..she told me to go get lunch and to come back and she would get principal see me.
I am standing in the lunch queue and the principal came to me and said I was looking for you earlier come and see me after your lunch. I told her I wasnt hungry and that I would come now...she would not let me lol ...so I choked down a hotdog and went to her table. Without question she brought oput a sheet of paper and said "3rd grade?". I sat with my mouth open and said "Yes please....but...(honesty too much lol)did you see the references?"
I was taken aback when I was told that the one thing she valued most in her staff was honesty and that she felt that everyone deserved a second chance...wow!...She is an Angel!(with a capital 'A')
I wont be letting her down ..I signed a contract there and then and was told "Ha! You are mine now!" ...I can not wait to start ...I just want to give some hope out there to others ...its not the end of the world and this waas meant to be! ...Good Luck and keep your chin up ..there are good people out there.
