Re: 6th grade girls
By DP

Clip to ScrapBook
Katie,
As a sub teacher and mother of two middle school aged girls I don't put up with that disrespect! I just tell the girls at school that I don't put up with it at home so I will not tolerate it at school. A couple of days ago a 7th grade girl was deliberately disrespectful accusing me of taking her assignment, when I knew I hadn't. I just told her calmly that I would leave her name for her regular teacher and a note that she was being disrespectful. Within a couple of minutes she apologized and started doing her work. ( I am still not sure if the apology was sincere-but when you're a sub you take what you can get!) I think you just have to let them know that you are not going to accept that attitude from anyone in the class. Good luck!
