2nd Graders
By DebS.

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Casey,

I've taught both grades and have found that 2nd graders, especially at the beginning of the year are very dependent on you. They do seem to be excited to learn, but need a lot of guidance. Take things slowly and don't give too many steps at one time. Expect a lot of tattling and the need to share their personal stories at inappropriate times. You may have found some of these things to be true for your 3rd graders as well. Second graders can say some pretty funny things, and sometimes are brutally honest. Enjoy them!
