Have you read it? It's a little mature for fifth grade, I think. At our middle school, it's in the young adult section and needs parental permission to be checked out. It's a really good book, and there's nothing in the world wrong with it; it's just a little on the mature side. In case you haven't read it, it does talk about periods, and that might be embarrassing for fifth grade girls if there were also boys in the circle. If you give them choice, the boys probably won't choose that title anyway, but it's something to ponder.
