Reading takes on different meaning for each

I am in one of the best districts in my state. Just for a year, as I was a maternity replacement for the school year.

Reading for your lowest readers will mean left to right and pointing and lifting the finger. THATS IT!
At least in my district...
I have a bunch of kids leaving me at a level one adn a bunch leaving me at a level 12!
my levels ones just point to the words and go left to right, turn the page.
Hope this helps.
Id ask your principal what he means by "reading"...
