Last year
By Kelly

Clip to ScrapBook
Our principal passed away last year very suddenly. I read the story "Waterbugs and Dragonflies" to my kids. It is a great story that explains death to young children. These waterbugs climb up the stem of a lily pad and end up becoming dragonflies, but they can never come back to tell the waterbugs how great it is to be a dragonfly. They know that their waterbug friends will one day become dragonflies, and then they will understand. We then made dragonflies and hung them up around the room. I know it is really hard to deal with this issue with kids, but just keep doing what you are doing.
