a little off....

Just a bit off the topic, but Barnes and Noble has a summer reading program that results in a free book. I always pick up packets for my grade level and we give them out the last day of school. It's very do-able for the families. The public libraries here also have summer reading programs tied into our baseball team. It's nice to send home a list a possible nonfiction and fiction books and encourage them to earn the prizes these programs offer.
