I completely agree with you and see exactly where you're coming from. I don't want to work with special ed. children either. I know this is not politically correct, but I honestly believe that the "least restrictive environment"
thing is totally unfair to the regular ed students because of all the distraction. I don't really have any advice; I just wanted to tell you that I sympathize with you. I guess if I were you I would wait until next year to see how things actaully play out. You said that part of your information is from rumors, which aren't always true. I know at my school rumors run rampant
and half of the time the teachers get all worked up over nothing. If you're really concerned, though, and you are comfortable talking to the principal, then I think you should.
