High School Subbing
By Carol

Clip to ScrapBook
DP,

When I first started subbing I did nothing but high school. I did this one guys art class all the time. Take a good book to read as the kids are pretty self-suffient and they tend to leave you alone and work on
their projects. There is very little disruptive behavior. This can be a welcome relief. They tend to like to listen to the radio so you better be hip-hop tolerant.

Classes tend to be smaller than normal and since, it is an elective, students tend to have a better attitude towards their work and you. Just make sure they clean-up after themselves and don't go running off on a field

trip around campus. Some are a little irresponsible and will leave dirty paint brushes in the sink, etc. so make sure you nag them to clean up.

Good Luck
Carol
