My year...
By Kathy

Clip to ScrapBook
Glad to say this has been a pretty good year for me. I teach a combination 3-4 and am actually sorry to see my fourth grade move on. (This was my second year with most of them.) They are a bright, energetic, VERBAL, and
creative bunch!! They're a handful--We are STILL working on procedures in May--but I just love their enthusiasm, humor, and creativity!!! I will really miss them!!!

My parents have been quite supportive and affirming--though these past two years have been the ONLY two in my 27 years of teaching where I haven't had a "surprise" birthday party. (This year I didn't even get a birthday

card.) Oh, well, I've had enough recognition and "surprises" to last a lifetime and when you get to my age you're not that excited about birthdays anyway!!

I could not ask for a better team of teachers to work with--they make me love to come to work every day. This is the best working environment I've had in 27 years!

We have four more weeks of school after this one--and I know we'll all be ready for vacation!
Yet the end of the year is always a bittersweet time for me.
