interview teams
By AMW

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year when I interviewed for my current position, it was an interview team. It was the principal, director of special ed. (I have my share of special ed. students), and 3 classroom teachers.

My principal feels more
comfortable having more people be a part of the process and give their input. I was given a list of about 25 questions. They went in order and each person asked a question. They all took notes on what I said, so if someone missed something, another person had probably written it down.

They were very nice and would often smile or nod as I answered their questions. I have to admit it feels

really strange having five people stare at you! To make matters worse, I was at one end of a long table and they were at the other. It's kind of funny now that I look back!

Good luck on your interview! I agree with what the other poster said...you have the experience of this year to bring to your interview.
