Lynnette is correct. Different people throwing the balls is a variable, the first being the different size balls. Now what I think the science implementor was getting at was when he answered the question was that even though three different people were throwing the ball the expected results would probably be the same -- the largest/heaviest ball would travel the least distance and the lightest ball would travel the furthest regardless of who threw the ball. A stronger person might throw them further, but the heaviest ball should still not go as far as the lightest. Does that make sense?
