I have had the worst year ever!!! Will not be doing it next year, that's for sure! I've been through administration harrassment, severe behavior problems in the classroom, being the only teacher given new students in my
grade, who have behavior problems like breaking rulers, throwing chairs, etc. I've seen a lawyer about breaking my contract around Christmas, and basically he told me to suck it up because I was being a baby. I was given false poor evaluations, then told to resign or be fired. I resigned of course, but was going to do that anyway. I was told to not teach the way I was, but to teach

EXACTLY the way the other teacher was. I was even forced to sit in and watch her class. I was harrassed by other teachers, I've had stuff stolen from my classroom, my students have been discriminated against and purposely "forgotten" when it came to being put on the Peach Blossom list. I had a child wrongly be disqualified from Spelling Bee for putting the word to high on her white board, even though it was spelled right. I was told I need to stay until 3:40 even though my contract says I can leave at 2:40, and all other teachers leave at 3:00pm. I didn't have workign computers until April. No working TV or VCR until about two weeks ago. I was told the exact way I would set up my classroom and was forced to come in on Christmas break and rearrange it to fit the desires of the principal. I had suprise visits from my principal where she would interrupt the class to reprimand me in front of the children for some preposterous thing she thought I wasn't doign good enough. I could go on and on and on. This has caused a distaste in the whole education field within me and I will not be teaching next year. I don't know if ever I will but I definitely need some time off to rethink it all. Thanks for asking, and for listening to me vent. Sheesh, six more weeks to go and I feel sick about going in tomorrow.
