one of the worst

This is my 4th year & was one of the worst. I teach special ed... I had many misdiagnosed kids (MR kids diagnosed with ADD, ED kids diagnosed as LD). I usually have a few kids who are really working hard to overcome their| difficulties, kids who say thank you for the extra time I spend with them & the lessons I plan... this year my students complained about everything I did. I even told them one day I could take you all to Disney & you'd still complain. Parents this year were lawsuit happy & my admin was so busy trying to avoid lawsuits themselves that they didn't have time to support the staff. I had | |
a BAD year... sent out lots of resumes to facilitate a career change, but in the end signed a contract & am coming back next yr, but at a new school within the district in a new grade level. I am looking forward to the change. I have been a teacher this year that I don't want to be -miserable, rude, & complaining. I too am counting the days....
