Clip to ScrapBook
I most surely cannot hide it. I am huge since I'm due next month. I wouldn't do that anyway. I was just wondering if I should tell them the specifics. I know what it's like to work with a newborn, as I've done it before.
It was my first year of teaching actually. My kids still learned, had fun, and had great test scores.
I think it's pretty interesting that you know of a situation where they "would have picked someone else" due to pregnancy. Would you really pass over an awesome teacher because she was going to have a baby? I think that's quite odd. Yeah, she may be tired for a couple of months,
but in the long run that would be a rash move since she could be a great asset for years to come. I guess your "get over it, it's going to happen" response sounds odd to me coming from a woman who should understand. I also don't have the luxury of staying home, so I have to work. I will be missing no school since I deliver in the summer, so they really shouldn't be worried about it.
