Hold Out...

If you really want to work at the other school that doesn't currently have any postings, I'd hold out for that. It sounds like you have a lot to fall back on if it doesn't work out. In my area it would not be a good idea | to accept a job and then take another. A person probably wouldn't be able to do that in my district. Is there anything you don't like at the other school? Are you sure those retired positions will be posted? Sometimes in my school district, just because a teacher retires doesn't mean it will be posted. It depends on if a teacher from another school wants to transfer to another school | |
or grade level. It also depends on if enrollment is down in that school in other grade levels, which means that another teacher already working there would have the opportunity to take the position. Have you asked when they will be posting the position? Good luck!
