I completely understand the way you are feeling. I also knew since I was in elementary school that I wanted to teach second grade. I also worked with other grades and still wanted second. That's the job I was looking for. Many people told me that I might just have to settle for something else and maybe eventually get to second once I was in a school. Two and a half weeks before school started, I was hired as a second grade teacher! It worked out perfectly, I'm about to finish my first year of teaching and will continue to teach second grade at this school next year. I hope that is somewhat encouraging. It can happen!!
