making inferences
By Jenn

Clip to ScrapBook
I find pictures in magazines and attach questions to them. Students need to make inferences in order to answer the question. For example, "what time of year is it? How do you know?" or "Where is this lady going? What clues led you to your decision?" I will then pull the students together and connect the inferences that they just made to inferences that they make in reading.
