more with reading rocks
By Betsy

Clip to ScrapBook
I love reading rocks. Periodically throughout the year I'll ask my third graders if they are still "feeding" their rocks which is, of course, reading to them every night. We like to joke that not reading to the rocks every night is rock abuse and that I might need to call the rock police. At the end of the year I have the students bring their rocks back to school for a "Rockin Reunion." We have relay games, rocky road ice cream, reading time, and plenty of other activities. It's a lot of fun!
