Clip to ScrapBook
I teach 6th grade English. I didn't do it this year, but in the past the students have enjoyed doing a "wax museum." They read a biography/autogriography (be careful...They'll pick people who didn't really have an impact on society) about someone famous. On a specified date, the students came to school dressed like that person. We created a museum where the students in my class were like wax statues and other classes visited. When the visiting students indicated that they wanted to learn about a particular person, the "wax" figure from my class had to act like the person they read about and explain their accomplishments while acting like that person. I hope this makes sense.
