It takes time

Do not expect immediate results. This is our fourth year of Everyday Math and this year was the first year that I could finally see the results (I am fifth grade). If you have a loud enough voice do not implement the entire
elementary school in one year... I would strongly suggest the K-1 the first year, then second and third grade the second year and then the grades 4 and 5 the third year. It feels like a big mess if you implement K - 5 all in one year (at least it did for me). Surprisingly, after being skeptical for a few years our scores have improved -- whether that is the program or the fact that
all teachers are teaching a consistent program....
The program works for the average to above average kids, we have found it is not in the best interest in some of the lower level math kids.
The program also needs supplement math fact practice....
