my quarterly newsletter's "title" is my class motto (several years ago that was Collaboration, Commitment, Community; a few years back it was Committing Ourselves to Excellence; for a couple years it's been Everyone Excels

i'm sorry i can't think of anything clever...i was trying for an acronym, but all i can come up with is GEMS, and that's already taken!

what about sponsoring a contest with your students and offering up a prize (or extra credit) for the most creative? (when i need ideas, i turn to my sixth graders! they're super idea-generators!)
