fifth grade

I thought I would enjoy 1-3 graders (and I do) or highschoolers, because I historically have gotten along well with those age sets. I could have gotten my credential faster by pursuing a multiple subject credential, so that's what I did. I got offered a job working with fifth graders and I enjoyed it more than I would have thought. So I'm going to continue working with fifth graders next year.After working with fifth graders, I'm leaning towards middle school for the future. I like watching them navigate the pre-teen/early teen issues, make critical choices, question things. I find it a challenge and a joy to motivate students that are starting to have a whole lot more than school on their minds.
