Offended

I am not sure why anyone would be offended by my comments. I will agree that some parents do well will homeschooling and take it seriously. However, there are just not enough of those situations for me to agree with it whole-heartedly. If parents are not going to be held accountable for their child's education, then they should NOT be allowed to homeschool.
I do not want to see homeschooling go away 100 percent. I do stand by what I said before, however. I feel that homeschooling is not a good social move for raising a child. Spending one hour at a ballgame with other children cannot make | |
up for the seven hours a day of socialization that they would get at school. Academically, it MAY be a little better for the child. It is too bad that a wonderful academic background is not the only thing that a child needs to be a well-rounded individual.
