We do
By Tucson Arizona

Clip to ScrapBook
Same here! Half our teachers chose not to present awards this year. Our principal is a a model wimp and does this in a pathetic attempt to gain community support. He's really afraid of parents and caters to their every whim,
request, and demand - we've all seen this type of "leader."

This year those of us who chose not to present awards sent him a strong message and it's about time! We don't support him nor the few, the proud, the spoiled...

It's always the same students who receive awards while the others just talk and remain restless throughout this "Show for the Parents" at our middle school. It's

so fake, it's embarrassing.

Teachers who present do some serious "sucking up" to the parents in the audience, "...and thank you, parents, for sharing your wonderful students with us." Everyone knows it's a lie!

LOL! The recipients are not only "over rewarded," they're legends in their own minds! It's a piece of paper given at an assembly. The students act as though it was an Academy Award and teachers give these hideous speeches worse than those Academy Awards acceptance speeches. All we need now are those Halle Berry crocodile tears!

I'll bet my tiny teacher paycheck that your principal got the message too! Good!
