100%. My first few years, I wanted so badly to be a teacher of the year because I thought I was so good. Then, I realized - we are all really good at what we do, and that getting that award is all about playing the game of politics, kissing butt, etc. and I won't ever do that. Now, I hate all awards, teacher of the month, year, whatever it is - MOST everyone is great or we wouldn't be doing it, and everyone makes their mistakes, as well. We ALL deserve the award!And it just makes me resent those that do get the awards over and over and over again!
