she's rude

People who do things like that often have self-esteem poblems and/or they are incredibly conceited. Call her on it in front of the class. Frankly, you probably just need to be flat out rude back. Look her square in the eye and firmly say, "Adults who ATTEMPT to correct other adults in public are rude. You are not welcome to try and embarrass me in front of my class. Save any CONSTRUCTIVE comments you have for when we are in private." That ought to leave her mouth hanging open! If it ever happens again look her in the eye and say 'Please do not interrupt me Mrs. So-and-so." Unfortunately, you are going to have to stand up to this bully and fight fire with fire.
