I've said "crap" before when I dropped something that landed on my foot and hurt me. I have 6th and 7th graders, and they freaked out. I apologized, although I honestly don't think crap is a bad word. If I told a student that their work is crap, that's different because it's mean. I can certainly understand wanting to, though!
