I-Spy, Alphabet game, Picnic game, Madlibs By Mr T

I-Spy: You look around the room and pick something in the room (example a pencil sharpner). Then say "I spy with my little eyes something (put in description, example: big, black, square). Students then guess what it is.Alphabet | game: Write the alphabet on the board. Have students think of an animale, type of food, name, etc..starting with the first letter of the alpahabet. Picnic game: Similiar to the alphabet game. Start with something like "My name is Todd and we're going to go to a picnic and I'm going to bring tea". Have the students raise their hand to ask what they are going to bring. | | The object is to let students figure out what they should "bring" to the picnic something that starts with the first letter of their name. Madlibs: I just bought Madlibs and this have worked great for any down time or rainy days. You can find this at most bookstores.
