First Grade Rocks
By Michele

Clip to ScrapBook
Congratulations! First grade is an awesome grade to teach. The students are so eager to learn and it is great to watch them develope into readers. In Florida we have a lot of standards to cover, but I always try to work in some fun by singing and doing a lot of hands on stations. The students can become very indepentant at this age. Good Luck! Oh, and one small trick, but very useful....have them highlight their name before they turn in their work. Then you will not have to wrack your brain trying to figure out whose paper you have. Plus, they love to use the highlighter.
