I've never sent one to parents, but last year I did have my students fill one out during the last week of school. I will never do it again because they were rude. They had dumb complaints that weren't even relevant to teaching. They made comments about furniture in the room, which I have no control over. I know that students aren't always as logical as parents may be, but if the person is in a bad mood, the evaluation will be more meaningless. If you do it, I would do it now because the longer you wait, the more worn out they will be, and the more they'll take it out on you. Like the other poster said, you'll have to develop a thick skin. I like the other poster's idea of having students and parents fill them out together.
