guided reading By Patti/4th

What I do is a mini lesson each day "before reading", then we everyone reads, then I do an after reading activity with the whole group. I meet with one group each day for guided reading so that I see with every student once a week.

Thereis a summary on pages 99-106 of "Modifying the Four Blocks of Upper Grades" you might find helpful. The kids should read every day in the guided reading block.
