    How is his paper turned?

I am a left-handed writer too. I have very nice handwriting when I have the paper a certain way. If it's any other way my writing is almost illegible. How does your son have his paper turned? It's common for left-handed people to turn their arm/wrist in an unusual way or to turn the paper. I write with the paper at least turned completely to the side (but I don't twist or turn my body at all). Sometimes it's between to the side and upside down. If I try to write with the paper straight up and down or turned slightly to the side, it's uncomfortable and difficult to read. Throughout elementary school my teachers would try to make me write with my paper straight/almost straight. I couldn't do it! Now I just deal with the fact that people CONSTANTLY say, "Do you know that you are writing with your paper sideways?" Well, yes, after all of these years I am aware of that. My handwriting is very neat and it's comfortable to write like that.

You've probably considered this and it may not help, but I would be very curious about that because it made a difference for me.
