That is what I did this school year. The thought of it was far worse then actually doing it. The big thing for me was learning to teach math with a lot of manipulatives.
What saved me was implementing layered curriculum into several of my subjects. The students just love it because it gives them some independence. I love it because I can spend a little extra time working with students instead of writing lesson plans constantly.
Third graders love to see their names and work up around the room. Just remember, they come in needy, but at the end they are wanting to go it on their own.
