I gave the math portion of our Terra Nova test today. It states in the manual that it is up to the individual school districts to decide whether or not to allow the use of calculators. Whew! I was worried. Frankly, the math questions where it was possible to even use calculators were so easy that my studente really didn't need them. They did use them, but would have done a great job without them. How can they compare test scores across the state when not everyone is using the same testing guidelines?
