subs
By Mary

Clip to ScrapBook
Ditto what the first two said. I just would really like to emphasize the not leaving the room a mess tip. I hate to come back to a room that has paper all over the floor, the board has not been erased, the desks are helter-skelter.
I have a very neat classroom, and every afternoon, when I go home, a neat and tidy classroom is what I leave. I want the same when I return. Since I left it in really good shape, it shouldn't be hard to return it to its original state. Also, if a sub doesn't erase the board before they leave, the custodian (in our school) won't clean the board, because they think that the
teacher wants it saved.

And on the lighter side--no going out and getting sloshed at lunch. It actually happened here--a sub went to lunch, and got really drunk. She was coming back to work and they pulled her over for drunk driving. They needed a sub for the sub! So, no drinking lunch (even though you'll probably feel like it :-)).
