Those are good suggestions. I did have them do an evaluation...They were much harder on themselves and on each other than I would have been. I also had them turn in one written section alone. The problem, I guess, was that it was all on one rubric for one grade. Next time I'll split them up into several grades so that if they fail the group cooperation part, their grade isn't held up by what the other group members did. Every time I start to think that I'm doing a good job, I do something like this without thinking things all the way through.
