Bad judgment By Connie

There are always two sides to the story and unfortunately in today's society you just can't behave like you did with this child. As a teacher, the taxpayer parents want me to divide my time relatively equally between the| children. I think now that you see you made an error, but teachers can't play favorites with their time. We give extra class time to those in greater need, but you went way beyond. I'm concerned that after all the problems, you wanted to say "good-bye" to the student. That sort of put the nail in the coffin for the other side's case. It appears that you have contacted enough legal | | advice to see that your teaching career is probably doomed. I really am so sorry for you that this happened. I imagine that your intentions were very passionate for the child's best interest, but teachers have to be so careful about all these creapy things ruining our careers. We are almost never disliked because of a lack of competence or GPA, but other things like our relationships with parents and the students. Those that don't ruffle feathers or become controversial seem to do the best and have fewer headaches. I'll bet you can find a career or great service to others. Best wishes.
