homophones
By Brooke S.

Clip to ScrapBook
I worked on homophones during a tutoring session today. I had the child write each word on an index card. Then we played memory. She had to get the two homophones for it to be a match. Every time she picked up a card she said the word, spelled it and -whether it was a match or not- she had to make up a sentence that would go with the homophone. She left knowing exactly what each word meant and the spelling. She really liked it and this could be done in a 15 minute block.
