depends upon union
By roo

Clip to ScrapBook
Whether this is against union rights or not will depend upon the individual union bargaining agreement. Our union does not stipulate when students will be in the classroom in relation to the start of the school day. This is merely mentioned in the teacher & parent/student handbooks at the individual schools. I personally wouldn't want all of my students walking in right when school starts. With our system, as soon as the bell rings, my teaching begins. I don't have to waste time with kids still coming in, hanging up coats, etc.
