What not to ask/what to ask
By ALI

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi,

I don't think you should ask what curriculums they use...you should already know this when you go into your interview! It's important to research the school and district before your interview.

I also wouldn't ask
about how many preps you get. It's going to look like all you care about is how much time you get away from the students when the students are the reason you want to teach! Just know that you will probably get some kind of a prep. I would definitely NOT ask that question.

These are questions I asked:
How do you support new/first year teachers? Do you offer a mentor program?
When

do you expect to make a hiring decision for this teaching position?

I would keep it to 2-3 questions, but it is important to ask a couple questions. Keep them very simple and short.

Good luck!
