OLYMPIC DAY
By teach3

Clip to ScrapBook
At the end of each school year our school holds Olympic Day as an Accelerated Reader reward. We have 10 stations that we rotate through. We change them a little each year but these are the ones I remember for now. We do these
on our playground (it is really big) and we are only k-3.

1. Chalk on the blacktop
2. caterpillar pass (students are divided into teams and pass a foam ball to teammates in a variety of ways such as lay on back and pass with feet only, stand and pass using knees, etc
3. kickball (2 rotations)
4. water balloon volleyball. Kids are divided into teams, each team has a sheet,

they have to toss the water balloon back and forth between teams using only the sheet. They love this game, because they always get wet.
5. obstacle course on playground equipment
6. scooter races
7. basketball shootout
8. treasure hunt (you could do a nature hunt)
9. parachute

That's all I really remember, we will be planning again soon. Hope this helps a little.
