Lots of good points
By DDC

Clip to ScrapBook
You raise a lot of good points, many of which I have thought of before. The problem with continuing my education at another college is that my *attempted* student teaching (which only lasted one day) is recorded as a failure
on my academic transcript. This is sure to bring up questions by any enrollment officer. Also, most colleges around here require a letter of recommendation from at least one former professor and the telephone number of my former academic advisor (who has stated that she believes that I am unfit to work with children). For these reasons, it will be very hard (if not impossible) to
hide my dismissal.

Yes, they did try to imply that I did something inappropriate with the student. However, it was only *implied* (never put in writing). That is why my attorney says that I have no case. In order to prove that something more was behind their decision to dismiss me, I would have to find a way to make them admit it. And if they did admit it, then that could put me in a worse situation than I am in now (even if it went to trial and even if I won). The publicity could ruin my career - win or lose.
