Ocean Crafts
By Cindy

Clip to ScrapBook
It's funny that you asked since I've been doing ocean with my toddlers for the past two weeks. We made jellyfish from coffee filters, cups, and streamers. I've also seen one where the head of the jellyfish is a paper plate
folded in half and streamers for the tentacles. To make the one I did: have the children decorate a coffee filter with markers, then spray it with water and let it dry. Take a small paper cup (kitchen size) and turn it upside down. Glue four streamers inside so they hang down. Then poke a hold through the bottom of the cup and through the coffee filter and put a piece of yarn through in
order to hang it up.

We will also be making starfish using glue and sand. Using a piece of wax paper, make a star out of glue and cover it with sand. Put an unfolded paperclip on the top of it. Let it dry completely, possibly overnight, and then peel it from the wax paper. You should then have a starfish with a hanger!
